A great food for large parrots. The J and J low sunflower mix is a low fat, high nutrition mix for all larger parrot species. Containing 25 different ingredients for taste and variety; the food pieces are the right size for these larger birds

• Ingredients: 57% fruit and nut including Rose Hips, soft shell Almonds, Apricots, Coconut, Brazil Nuts, Walnuts and Dates. No more than 5% sunflower
• Suitable for larger parrot species including large macaws and black cockatoos

Some birds can become addicted to sunflower which can cause problems (e.g. vitamin A deficiency, lymphomas).

 So we have developed a specialist blend which is low in sunflower but still give the right levels of nutrients, richness and variety, AND are right for the particular species. 

A low fat high nutrition, low fat blend for all larger Parrot species including the large Macaws, Black Cockatoos and Moluccans - 

26 ingredients, 57% fruit and nuts - 7 different fruits, 6 different nuts.

Composition: medium striped and white sunflower, safflower, whole maize, oats, pumpkin seed, flaked peas, flaked maize, puffed maize, papaya, banana, currants, pineapple, apricot, coconut, dates, brazil nut kernels, walnut halves, peanuts, monkey nuts, pine nuts, soft shell almonds, chillies, rosehips, carrot. 

Items such as micronised peas and puffed wheat and maize give a sweeter taste and are easier to digest than the raw equivalent.
