Coxoid – Treats Coccidiosis 500ml Coxoid treats coccidiosis, caused by
internal parasites in birds. Coccidiosis is an enteric disease caused by
single-cell organisms called protozoans that affect the intestines of pigeons.
Most severe in young birds, it can wreak havoc amongst flocks that have not
been previously exposed. Harkers
Coxoid is a single soluble treatment to treat and prevent the re-occurrence of
coccidiosis via the drinking water. Additional Information Active Ingredients Contains 3.84%w/v Amprolium Hydrochloride BP (Vet) Dosage and Administration Add Coxoid to the drinking water at a rate of 28ml per 4.5 litres
(1fl.oz. per gallon) for 7 days. In serious outbreaks of coccidiosis,
treatment at half strength (14ml per 4.5 litres) should be continued for a
furthur 7 days. The birds should not have access to unmedicated drinking
water during the treatment period. Any medicated water which is not consumed
within 24 hours should be discarded. Special Precautions for the Disposal of Unused
Product Unused medicated water should be disposed of by pouring onto excreta
in the loft. Excreta from treated birds should not be spread onto land used
